CALL TO ORDER

As per Ministerial Order from the Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General

• That members of the public are not permitted to physically attend the April 15, 2021 meeting of the South Cariboo Joint Committee due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As per Ministerial Order from the Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General the Regional District cannot, at this time, ensure the safety of staff, Committee members, and members of the public in such circumstances.  Despite this, for the purposes of Division 3 of Part 4 of the Community Charter, the meeting is not to be considered closed to the public.

  Openness, transparency, accessibility, and accountability, in respect of this meeting, will be achieved by the open publishing of the minutes.

Minutes of the South Cariboo Joint Committee Meeting - March 8, 2021

• ​That the minutes of the South Cariboo Joint Committee meeting, held March 8, 2021, be received and adopted.

REPORTS AND CORRESPONDENCE

3.1

100 Mile House Outdoor Rink Society Presentation and Proposal

(Referred from the March 8, 2021 meeting)

• That the presentation and proposal from the 100 Mile House Outdoor Rink Society for a permanent, all season, outdoor sports complex, and accompanying letters of support, as referred by the Committee at its March 8th meeting,  be received.  Further action at the discretion of the Committee.

3.2

Proposed Contribution Agreement to Support the Forest Grove Curling Club

By consensus

• That the agenda item summary from Darron Campbell, Manager of Community Services, dated, March 31, 2021, regarding a contribution agreement with the Forest Grove and District Recreation Society to support operation of the Forest Grove Curling Club, be received. Further, that the proposed agreement be entered into for a three-year term with an annual contribution of $5,500 from the South Cariboo Recreation function and that the appropriate signatories be authorized to execute the agreement.
