CALL TO ORDER

As per Ministerial Order No. M192 from the Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General

• That members of the public are not permitted to physically attend the January 11, 2021 meeting of the South Cariboo Rural Directors Caucus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As per Ministerial Order from the Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General  the Regional District cannot, at this time, ensure the safety of staff, Caucus members, and members of the public in such circumstances.  Despite this, for the purposes of Division 3 of Part 4 of the Community Charter, the meeting is not to be considered closed to the public.

  Openness, transparency, accessibility, and accountability, in respect of this meeting, will be achieved by the open publishing of the minutes.

• ​That the minutes of the South Cariboo Rural Directors Caucus meeting, held November 9, 2020, be received and adopted.

REPORTS AND CORRESPONDENCE

3.1

108 Mile Heritage Site Contribution Agreement 2021 – South Cariboo Economic Development

By Consensus

• That the agenda item summary from Beth Holden, Regional Economic & Community Development Officer, dated January 6, 2021, regarding the 108 Heritage Site Contribution Agreement, be received. Further, that the agreement be supported with an annual financial contribution of $7,500, from the South Cariboo Economic Development Budget for a three-year term, and that the appropriate signatories be authorized to execute the agreement.

South Cariboo Appointments for 2021

By Consensus

• That the agenda item summary from Lore Schick, Deputy Corporate Officer/Executive Assistant, dated January 7, 2021, regarding appointments to various South Cariboo Committees for 2021, be received. Further action at the discretion of the Caucus.

Appointment of 2021 Co-Chair for South Cariboo Joint Committee

By Consensus

• That the agenda item summary from Lore Schick, Deputy Corporate Officer/Executive Assistant, dated January 6, 2021, regarding the appointment of a Co-Chair to the South Cariboo Joint Committee for 2021, be received. Further, that the Caucus appoint a Co-Chair to the South Cariboo Joint Committee for 2021.
