  That no members of the public, excepting RCMP Inspector Jeff Pelley, be permitted to physically attend the June 24, 2020 meeting of the Central Cariboo Rural Directors Caucus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as per Ministerial Order No. M192 from the Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General, dated June 17, 2020, as the Cariboo Regional District is in the process of updating its reopening plan and cannot, at this time, ensure the safety of staff, politicians, and members of the public in such circumstances.

  Openness, transparency, accessibility, and accountability, in respect of this meeting, will be achieved by the open publishing of the minutes.

Delegation - Inspector Jeff Pelley (Williams Lake Detachment RCMP)

RCMP Williams Lake Detachment Inspector Jeff Pelley was in attendance to provide an update on RCMP activities in the Central Cariboo.

4.1

Renewal of Williams Lake Fringe Fire Protection Agreement

S. Larson, Manager of Protective Services, was present for this agenda item.

  That the agenda item summary from Stuart Larson, Manager of Protective Services, dated June 19, 2020, regarding renewal of the Williams Lake Fringe Fire Protection agreement, be received. Further, that the current rate structure being used for the Williams Lake Fire Department to provide these services to the Williams Lake fringe areas within the Cariboo Regional District remain the same, with a 2% non-cumulative amount added each year, and that staff prepare an agreement drafting a three year term commencing January 2021.
