  That the agenda be approved with the following additions:

  5.3  Verbal report from Director Massier on the Annual Allowable Cut Apportionment discussions for the North Cariboo;

  5.4  Verbal report from John MacLean, CAO, on the Housing Strategy and the request to support a Housing Manager application by the City of Quesnel to the Northern Development Initiative Trust; and

  5.5  An item for discussion - debrief after the discussions held at the North Cariboo Joint Planning Committee meeting.

Delegation - Sgt. Darren Dodge, Quesnel RCMP Detachment

Sgt. Darren Dodge of the Quesnel RCMP Detachment appeared before the Caucus to provide a report on current staffing levels, crime activity statistics, and general detachment plans and intentions.

REPORTS AND CORRESPONDENCE

4.1

Royal Canadian Legion Branch #094 - Request for Support

  That the letter from Darcey Horn, Director of Finance, Treasurer and Grant Writer for the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #094, dated March 30, 2019, requesting a letter of support as well as financial support to develop an accessible dock at Legion Beach on Dragon Lake, be received.  That a letter of support be provided to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #094 for their proposal to construct an accessible dock at Legion Beach on Dragon Lake.  Further, that staff reach out to the Legion to determine what level of financial support they are seeking from the Cariboo Regional District.

Quesnel Pride and Community Outreach - Request for Sponsorship of Pride Parade

  That the letter from the Quesnel Pride and Community Outreach, dated March 2019, requesting sponsorship of Quesnel's 5th Annual Pride Parade, be received.

City of Quesnel - Canada Day Sponsorship and Invitation

  That the letter from Mayor Bob Simpson, City of Quesnel, dated April 9, 2019, requesting sponsorship for the 2019 Quesnel Canada Day celebrations and an invitation to a Northern CRD Director to speak at the opening ceremonies, be received. Further, that a contribution of $1,000 be approved from the North Cariboo Economic Development Service.

5.2

North Cariboo Grants for Assistance

  That for the balance of this term, the Northern Directors would contribute $10,000 per year in Grants for Assistance funding to the Quesnel Community Foundation, with the funding being apportioned between the Electoral Areas on the basis of population.
