Delegation - Emcon Services Inc.

Gerry Popoff, Emcon Operations Manager, appeared before the Caucus to provide an update on Emcon’s activities in the North Cariboo.

Request from CCCTA for Sponsorship of 2019 Tourism Summit

  That the invitation from the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Tourism Association for sponsorship of the 2019 Tourism Summit and AGM, to be held in Barkerville from November 1-3, 2019, be received.

North Cariboo Joint Committee Proposed Terms of Reference

  That the proposed Terms of Reference for the North Cariboo Joint Committee, be received.  Further, that the proposed Terms of Reference be endorsed with minor amendments and forwarded to the North Cariboo Joint Planning Committee.

North Cariboo Airport Contribution Agreement

  That consideration of the North Cariboo Airport Contribution Agreement be deferred to the next meeting of the North Cariboo Rural Directors Caucus.

2019-2020 North Cariboo Economic Development Business Plan

(Letter from the Quesnel Rodeo Club provided at the meeting and added to the agenda afterwards.)

  That the North Cariboo Economic Development Business Plan be endorsed as presented.  Further, that the funding support request from the Quesnel Rodeo Club be brought forward to the next North Cariboo Rural Directors Caucus meeting for discussion.

North Cariboo Support for Orange Shirt Day

(Letter from the Orange Shirt Day Committee provided at the meeting and added to the agenda afterwards.)

  That the letter from Patty Kimpton, District Principal Aboriginal Education and Distance Learning, SD #28, written on behalf of the Quesnel Orange Shirt Day Committee requesting funding support, be received. Further, that $750 be allocated in the 2020 Electoral Area Administration financial plan to support the activities of the committee.
