Minutes of the South Cariboo Joint Committee Meeting - February 6, 2019

• ​That the minutes of the South Cariboo Joint Committee meeting, held February 6, 2019, be received and adopted.

DELEGATIONS

3.1

12:00 p.m. - Staff Sgnt Svend Nielsen, RCMP

Staff Sgnt Svend Nielsen, RCMP, will appear before the Committee to provide an update.

3.2

12:30 p.m. - Rikki Beaudet, Enbridge

Rikki Beaudet, Enbridge, will appear before the Committee to speak about Enbridge's natural gas pipeline system, Transmission South (T-South) and Enbridge's safety practices.

• That the presentation regarding Enbridge's natural gas pipeline system, Transmission South (T-South) and safety practices, be received.

REPORTS AND CORRESPONDENCE

4.1

Canlan Ice Sports - SC Recreation Centre 2018 Operating Subsidy

• That the letter from Josh Dickerson, Facility Manager, Canlan Ice Sports, dated March 1, 2019, reporting on the 2018 Operating Subsidy for the South Cariboo Recreation Centre, be received.

4.2

100 Mile House Curling Club Use and Occupancy Agreement Renewals

• That the agenda item summary dated March 1, 2019 from Darron Campbell, Manager of Community Services, regarding a proposed renewal of the operating and occupancy agreements with the 100 Mile House Curling Club, be received. Further, that the agreements be renewed for a five-year term with the current conditions, including an annual fee of $12,000 payable by the club and that the appropriate signatories be authorized to execute the agreements.

4.3

Use and Occupancy Agreement Renewal with the 100 Mile Agriplex Society

• That the agenda item summary from Darron Campbell, Manager of Community Services, dated March 1, 2019, regarding renewal of the Use and Occupancy Agreement with the 100 Mile Agriplex Society for the agriplex building adjacent to the South Cariboo Recreation Centre, be received. Further, that the agreement be renewed for three years at the current terms and conditions until March 31, 2022 and that the appropriate signatories be authorized to enter into the renewal agreement.

4.4

People Power - Garden Project at Horse Lake Community Farm Co-operative

• That the letter from People Power, dated February 23, 2019, regarding their garden project at the Horse Lake Community Farm Co-operative and their donation of vegetables to those in need, be received.  Further action at the discretion of the Committee.

4.5

District of 100 Mile House - 100 Mile House and District Soccer Assoc. Lease

• That the memo from Roy Scott, CAO, District of 100 Mile House, regarding the 100 Mile House & District Soccer Association Lease, be received.  Further, that the lease renewal between District of 100 Mile House and the 100 Mile House & District Soccer Association at the stipulated annual fee of $10,000, be approved.

There will be items suitable for discussion in-camera pursuant to Section 90(1)(k) of the Community Charter.

• That the meeting be closed to public to discuss items suitable for discussion in-camera pursuant to Section 90(1)(k) of the Community Charter.
