  • That members of the public are not permitted to physically attend the February 24, 2021 meeting of the Central Cariboo Joint Committee due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As per Ministerial Order from the Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General the Regional District cannot, at this time, ensure the safety of staff, Committee members, and members of the public in such circumstances.  Despite this, for the purposes of Division 3 of Part 4 of the Community Charter, the meeting is not to be considered closed to the public.

    Openness, transparency, accessibility, and accountability, in respect of this meeting, will be achieved by the open publishing of the minutes.

  • That the agenda be adopted as presented.

  • That the minutes of the Central Cariboo Joint Committee meeting, held January 27, 2021, be received and adopted.

(Referred from the December 16, 2020 meeting for Staff to investigate this proposal and report back in the first quarter of 2021.)

  • That the report from Ian James, Director of Community Services, dated January 22, 2021, regarding the Greater Metro Hockey League (GMHL) and the Western Provinces Hockey Association's (WPHA) interest in bringing an expansion team to the City of Williams Lake, be received. Further action at the discretion of the Committee.

  • That the report from Ian James, Director of Community Services, City of Williams Lake, dated February 12, 2021, regarding the revised Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex 2021 operating financial plan be received, and that the $115,000 deficit target change caused by the extended COVID PHO order and restrictions on gatherings and events be approved.

  • That the Action Page as presented at the Central Cariboo Joint Committee meeting on February 24, 2021, be received.

  • That the meeting of the Central Cariboo Joint Committee be adjourned at TIME, February 24, 2021.
