Delegation - Interior Health Healthy Communities

Interior Health Healthy Communities, appeared before the Committee of the Whole to provide follow up discussion from the NCLGA Resilient and Healthy Communities Forum, including what influences health of our communities, and partnering to promote healthier communities.

Director Richmond and Alternate Director Ryll joined the meeting.

Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) for Independent Society Run Volunteer Fire Departments

  That the memorandum from Stuart Larson, Manager of Protective Services, dated November 5, 2019, regarding Authority Having Jurisdiction for independent society run volunteer fire departments, be received.  Further, that staff obtain legal advice, consult with our insurance provider and other regional districts pertaining to concerns on who the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) is for independent society run volunteer fire departments, and what liability, if any, the CRD is willing to accept for emergency response agencies that are not a service of the CRD.
